Jerry Read Hancock was raised on a dairy farm in Ogden where he worked with his father and twin brother throughout his youth. Upon high school graduation, he received a Bachelor of Science degree and a degree in Art Education and History. In 1994, Jerry and several friends bought a vacant building in Ogden. The goal was to help support Ogden’s redevelopment plans and to have a place to paint. It took almost 2 years to renovate the building.
